Description
This class is closed to further registration.

A stand up workshop taught by Second City Alumnus and working stand-up comedian David Pompeii, this one-week intensive teaches you the basics of stand-up comedy and gets you ready to perform a 5 minute set for a live audience.

The workshop culminates in a class show at the Second City where each student will perform their own 5 minute set.

Participants will then have an open mic set that they can perform around towna ann build into a full act.

David Pompeii:

David started his career at the Funny Farm Comedy Club in Chicago. He became a regular performer at the Chicago Improv, The Last Laff and at All Jokes Aside. Later, David toured the country and Indiana, performing as a headliner at colleges and clubs. He was featured in the WGN documentary "Stand up, the Serious Business of Comedy" and has also appeared on HBO, The Daily Show and in the Films Barbershop II and The Poker House. Currently David is a headliner at the Downtown Comedy Club in Los Angeles.
