Description

Learning how to read is one thing, but getting to the work is something else again. VO work is not something the people are automatically invited to participate in. But if you have the skill, the resources or space, and the moxy to launch a VO career, this class is the one for you. THE FOCUS OF THIS CLASS IS NOT ON READS. It is about getting your ducks in a row, building a website, getting training, setting up a home recording space, and trying to book work while getting better at your reads. It is about sharing best practices, equipment, and know-how to begin to become competitive in an ever changing market. About the Teacher: Kiff VandenHeuvel is a successful voiceover and on camera artist who's work has been featured in TV, Film, video games, and national and international TV and radio commercial. Kiff began his VO career by getting his reel recorded in Toledo, OH in exchange for cleaning and waterproofing an audio engineer's backyard deck. Kiff is an Second City mainstage alumni and director and teacher at Second City Los Angeles. Prerequisite: Completion of Kiff's Intro to Voiceover class or Teacher approval.
