Tailored to experienced improvisers, this two-term course will guide students through the process of developing a satirical musical through improvisation. Using the guiding principles of satire and musical theatre, the students will develop a one-act musical drawn directly from current events. Working with several guest directors, students will use improv to generate material, as well as a variety of songwriting and sketch techniques to revise and shape their scenes and songs.
Prerequisites: Completion of the Music Improv or Conservatory program
